Celebrate the under rated Stranglers. Bought this when I was college a zillion years ago for a quarter. Started me on a path to get their albums. Their first 2 albums are a MUST.

Treepeople - Outside In
Box 17 is a good box. Well, all my boxes full of records are good but box 17 is full of records I have had for ages. Take this one for instance, I LOVED the Treepeople and of course Doug Martsch is the dude. All these years later he's still at it with Built To Spill. In the sleeve for this one I had put a postcard C/Z sent me in February 1993 as I always ordered mail order from them.

Velocity Girl - Merry Christmas, I Love You
I always liked Velocity Girl and have recently re-discovered them. I originally bought all their Sub Pop records when they were released but never bought this until recently.

Game Theory- We Love You Carol and Allison
I have to admit I have been somewhat obsessed the last month with all things Scott Miller since I learned of his death. I have been playing his releases non stop. I'm conflicted by the fact that few in this great big world are aware of the utter brilliance of Game Theory/Loud Family, and choose instead to be focused on the Justin Beiber's of the world. I have this vision when I close my eyes that in a perfect world there would be a documentary that gives the world a glimpse of this man. Just listen to the shear beauty of this classic. I bought Lolita Nation brand spankin new when it was released and could not wait to put the vinyl on the turntable. I remember how blown away when I first heard this song. 26 years later it has the same power.

Loud Family - Just Gone
I was on lunch one day last week and listening to a Game Theory song on my Kindle. I had this thought of doing an internet search for Scott Miller to see what he was up to and if he had anything new. Sadly, I learned he died last April 2013. I will admit my mood was low the rest of the day. I loved his music and he answered a question I had once on his blog. He will be missed. This post is from a fantastic release- Interbabe Concern.
